• Approve in-process production by confirming required specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating the required adjustments to the production supervisor
• Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests
• Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work
• Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs
• Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs.
• Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
• Coach and mentor junior employees; seek opportunities to grow leadership in others
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, attending seminars, watching industry videos, etc.

Sheet metal fabricator currently is interviewing for a 1st and 2nd shift entry-level welders. Candidate should have the ability to plan, lay out, fabricate, and assemble structural metal products.

Qualified Applicants MUST have the following: 

• Verifies conformance of work piece to specifications 
• Lays out, positions, aligns, fits, and welds components together 
• Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding process 
• Sets up equipment and weld parts using Mig and spot welders. 
• Sets up and operates machine tools associated with fabricating 
• Hammers, chips, and grinds work piece to cut, bend, and straighten metal 
• Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts 
• Ensures all safety policies are followed at all times 
• Must have experience reading engineering and/or blue prints 
• Ability to fabricate and weld to prints and specified tolerances 
• Knowledge of weld symbols

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure perfect training, execution, auditing of safety and quality policy and vision.Ensure perfect execution of production output, waste, and labor to standard.Becomes expert in assigned technical area of responsibility.

Manages parts and supplies for assigned technical area of responsibility.Monitors performance (safety, quality, production output, waste, other costs) and reports inmorning management meeting or via the production manager or another stand in for morning management meeting if shift assignment or another reason does not allow attendance.

Takes effective corrective action for any performance shortfall.Owns performance for assigned staff and assigned technical area of responsibility. Inspect equipment; issuing requisitions for repair.Makes management aware of any issue hindering performance.Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork for assigned staff.

Performs all job functions in accordance with the requirement of organization’s safety policies,quality management system and hygiene management standards, including following allrelated procedures and work instructions.Perform other essential and non-essential functions as assigned.
